Default X gear spings

I ran my 502x on wet grass/astro at the weekend with red front and white rear. Standard pistons with 35cwt oil front, 30cwt rear. It was absolutely awesome. Now invested in more springs.

Very intresting, thanks a lot for sharing!
What's the advantage of these springs VS the Tamiya one?
I heard about them more than one time but don't know much about them.

Slightly bigger diameter spring which does not rub on the shock body.
Also has a better coil for more consistent action.

I like them

i use the larger sized 201 spring retainer on the bottom

Default Springs

Also, the Losi 22 spring retainers are a perfect fit.

The price isn't too bad either at £7.65 a pair.

Do these X-Gear springs fit the standard Kyosho shocks too?

Default X-Gear springs

I noticed Lee mentioned he does NOT use the BB springs on his 201. The XSB parts #'s appear to be for BB springs only. The standard RB5 regular bore springs are not black with a color ID mark. The entire spring is yellow or red.
I assume this is what Lee is using.

I don't think he uses x-gear springs at all on the 201 right now

From memory, think he still uses them on the 4wd.

I think XSB in the part number stands for small bore, try this page:

http://translate.google.co.uk/transl...24%26bih%3D672

Those springs are black with coloured bands. However, not sure what they have in stock.
