Default Return to RC

Hi,

Looking for a bit of advise on what 2wd 1/10 buggy , motor, speedo, cells etc to get.

I have been out of RC racing for some 10years and my last car's were a Schumacher Procat & Kyosho Laser ZXR to name a few.

Like the idea of the Schumacher Cougar SV2 ? any thoughts of alternative and what you recommend to run in it as well.

Thanks
Averon

Default Suggestions

I have little experience on the sv2. As a competition car it's probably up there!

B4 is a great comp car with spares galore. Has stood test of time.

But me personally I like the losi 22 - looks great, runs great, mid and rear motor configs and spares are easily sourced. I'd run an 8.5t, small footprint esc like lrp or orca and a stubby lipo. You can find a cheap 22 on this forum.

Other good choices include the kyosho rb5 and durango dex210

cougar sv2 is good just finished on the podium at nationals...... not a losi or b4 in sight! b4 is good but most now run it with the C4.1 conversion. best advice is pop to your local club and see whats popular, you can buy losi cheap on here for one reason.....

I returned this time last year after a long layoff, my advice would be run what is popular at the club you are going to race at for advice and spares availability.
I started back with a cougar sv and have now got an SV2 which im now starting to find a set up for.

Cheers

Rich

Another vote for the Ansmann X2c from me.They are getting very popular at lots of clubs and spares are easy to get hold of.
