servo help

I am getting my hobbywing esc and a hpi motor this weekend

Another Q. I have a old transmitter. 27mhz. Was thinking of using this to I get a bit more money.
But my servo is a old Hitec I think 0.19sec plastic gears. Would I need to up grade for 10th touring racing.
If so is 0.11 sec be ok ??

Also with my old transmitter can I use a digital servo or do I need a digital transmitter ??

Does all servos return to the middle when driving. Or only digital ??
