Default xcelorin esc problem

hi there i am looking for some help. i have a xcelorin 6.5t combo. i have been connecting it to the laptop to make some setup changes and it has worked fine .then i replugged it in and now it wont read the esc. green light is on for usb and on the data link lead is also green.the esc light on the software is red. i have unplugged the esc from the receiver and tried it in the car and all works fine.so nothing wrong with the leads ect.just wont connect(read) the esc. have uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same. windows box comes up with read error 4????

I'm sorry to say, but that's probably the end of that speedo without sending it off to see if anything can be done by Horizon (and charged accordingly)
I've had one go the same way and have been unable to get it working again, haven't sent it off yet

hi peet.thanx for the reply.yes been reading some old threads. surely its not our fault if it there firmware update that has caused the problem??

reflash the firmware, if that dont work flash an older firmware.

i had the problem, plug it it and read it as usual, click on command at the top and select "restore to factory defaults" the unplug and plug it back in. i have 2 of the same esc and done it on both. hope this helps.

The problem is that with either of those suggestions the software has to recognise that the esc is connected, if t doesn't then it won't allow you to do anything
