Default Tyres for this sunday

Hi guys
Thinking of coming down this Sunday for the 1st time & wondered if any of the Schumacher tyres work there, mini pins etc?
I know people have been running Durango tyres but I don't have any & don't want to buy some just for one meeting if I can help it?
Will be running a Rb5 vega or Fs2.
Thanks in advance

Pete

Schumacher Yellow Minipins work fine at the venue,

although i find dBoots Nanobytes work better and last longer anyway.

You will have to enter in open class with Minipins as the main championship is a dBoots sponsored control tyre class.

If running 2WD you would only have to buy one pair of dBoots Nanobytes A compound for the rear, they would last all day, are discounted at the meeting and front tyres for 2WD are open anyway.

Mark.

Doors open at 7am and racing starts 10ish, so it's a few hours of free practice if you get there early.

You could use your minipins to get used to layout in practice, tyre rules come in when racing starts

Wear warm clothes, although it's indoors it isn't heated so more like an outdoor track with a roof!

If you are running a Vega then probably best to stay half a lap up on me, can't afford to be buying another posh gearbox this month!

Don't worry, it's Good clean competitive racing at Arena X with some of the top drivers in the country...

it was a freak accident at the last round, where for some odd reason I didn't see a stationary bright orange and yellow Vega on blue carpet and went through it on full throttle with my 22, made a big mess of the gearbox...

Was all sorted as we are Gentlemen, but not exactly a cheap fix! (22 was undamaged though!)

Vega still won the final with the damage so it says something about their strength, then again it's pilot is not a bad driver either!

Hopefully see you Sunday
