The Nosram Stealth Evo will charge both NiMh and LiPo cells if you ever want to use them. It's a 12v charger so if you want to use it at home you will need either the 10 or 14a Nosram power supply.
For club racing with NiMh's you will probably need 3 packs if you don't want to abuse them too much. With a LiPo pack you will only need 1 pack and be able to keep topping it up ![]() |

Any charger that has an adjustable peak point and a temperature probe will get your cells full safely. It ought to be able to do at least 1C (1Amp for every 1000mAh --> 4.2A for 4200mAh cells) so that you can get the cells properly charged in reasonable time.
Anything extra like a discharge function or a motor run function are bells and whistles you'll have to determine whether you need. I use a GMVIS Commander and like it a lot and have used a Robitronic Overloader and the LRP/Nosram chargers and they all got the cells full and had all sorts of cool features too. The MuchMore chargers seem to do a good job too. You really ought to get at least three packs of batteries like Richard said or you'll end up hammering your one pack and might even have it go bang... |
