Default Yokomo Shaft Drive Prototype

Did not see this mentioned anywhere here yet.

Would think this will be a more affordable competition 4WD buggy from Yokomo, similar to the Durga from Tamiya. Looks pretty good though with proper suspension etc.

Too bad can't read Japanese...

No more info on that yet. My guess is Tamiya could show the prototype at Shizuoka in May and then release it towards the end of the year. This is what they did with the 501 in 2006.

Guess it all depends on how testing goes though.

Old news

I asked on the Cactus Classic thread if anyone there was using one, don't think anyone noticed.

Here's another pic I found: (edit: just realised this pic is part of the above scanned image)

in the card box the motor is on the left rear, big pics show it right middle
(as JC BJ4, HPI D4, etc...) but looks too toyish to me.

I need carbon and alloy

Maybe they start a new afford to the next worlds (2009 where?) with
a shaft driven, I think they max'd out belt driven with the BX worlds...
