thinking of buying a 22

hi i currently run a x6 squared dont get me wrong it handles realy well & goes like a bat out of hell but i am bored so want something to get me teeth into , now ive read most of the post on this forum from why is everyone selling there 22,s to people saying that you can get them . never mind darren bloomfield he's a different class of driver to the likes of your average club racer like world class so i am interested in the regular joe,s like me who get them going well and what is the most important upgrades needed if any or can it go well straight from the box. any info woud be greatfuly recieved like upgrades / setyups / how well people have got there 22 running ect

by the way ive been racing for about 25 years on & off and run mainly indoor on primafelt carpet at mansfeild mcc or will run outdoors on astroturf at broxtwe mcc many thanks deano

Well I have gone from X-6 to 22 last week and before the 22 I tried the Cougar not a good chose Now I finally went whit the 22 and I have one thing to say OMG this things is fast to drive smooth you will not regret hop ups no need just ad weight were you need it I bought all kind of spring before trying it and did not change anything from the stock set up appart for Ceramic diff balls.

thanks dennis thats the kind of feedback i realy needed i couldnt understand why people coulnt get on with them until i read the post & seems people have more money than patience thats why i want one for a challange to beat people who think they are crap or can never work

Ive just got a 22 with plenty of spares and upgrades of here in as new condition for £130.
My thought was Do I or Dont I but after reading all the set up tips and how people can now set them up to drive the way they want that made my mind up and i went for it.
Had a B4.1 and just couldn't settle with it but plenty of people love them.
Go for it and see if its for you.

Love mine. Now that it has a gear diff, I don't even look at other options.

allu steering, if you use the stock ball diff, change the T nut to V2 or use AE ones or get a SC10 Gear Diff or Losi (if its available). thats about it, but if you like the Bling get the allu. their great.!!!

Gear diff all the way,its one less thing to adjust.
Just cant seem to get Ball Diffs quite right no matter how many times i played about with it.
22 with gear diff sold it for me
