Default Track Designs

Hey Guys.

We would like to have a little feedback about the track last week. (8/1/12)
so we can improve/change things for the next meeting.

Also if anyone has any ideas for tracks let us know. We will work something in for you.

Couldnt fault the track on sunday, really enjoy the 50/50 carpet and slippy floor. This led to very close racing, where our heat was within a lap of each other.

Yes it is Matt, I'm not trying to hide it.
The thread is from a club point of view not my own.

I'm not "trying out for the committe I am on the committee"

If you can't post something constructive, don't bother. Or "WE" being me or the other committe members will remove it.

Right, just my thoughts:

Track flow and carpet/slippy mix was spot on. Mats/ripple section was fine.

The 'L' shaped tabletop was ambitious and worked well for more experienced and more cautious drivers, but not so well for absolute beginners and the terribly impatient.

Despite providing easy 'bail out' options for drivers over or undershooting the exit ramp the whole thing did seem a little narrow... there was basically one line over it for racing and worse still, some were still struggling to consistently hit the up ramp by round 4. If the up ramp had been in a slow section (eg just after a hairpin) then I reckon it too would have been spot on.

Hope this helps.

I think you could do with some more materials for making ramps and things.
Just some sheets off ply and maybe some pallets.
The only other thing i would suggest is cones for marshal points.
