Hi all,
Got a used BJ4 WE coming for an event I am doing here in Calgary, and as some of you know the track here is rough with some HUGE jumps. My problem is, that as far as I know, no one else here has a BJ4, so I won't be able to scrounge any parts, so I'm on my own. So, what has anyone broken? or what wears out? Basically what should I get in the way of spares? thanks Stu

Front wishbones and front driveshafts (you can buy the dogbone on its own) maybe a spare spur gear and a set of gears is about it really other than maybe the front shock tower, unless you are using the thicker atomic carbon one
![]() Also check the car to see if it has the tapered outdrive springs fitted between the driveshaft and the one way outdrive, this should stop the bending and breaking of the driveshafts but i have not fully tested them yet. And set the slipper right as this will save the transmission if you are making big jumps etc.

From experience, you may want to get some steering posts as these seem to go on the thread part in the steering arm itself if you have a bad crash as there is no servo saver!!! you can tell if it breaks as the steering feels weird but it dosent fall apart so you can finish a race with it!! would strongly recomend using the Atomic front tower!! there excellent!
Would say a spare set of the Losi steering arms as they do go now and then, but other than what Old Timer said cant think of much else

I should be taking the BJ4 to the euros, the only spares I have are the front tower and wishbones. I have heard of the front driveshafts going if you are running a one way diff, but like Jonathan says, if you have the springs in the outdrives I think that solves that problem.
Speaking of, how much do I cut down some V2 motor springs to fit these out drives ? |

Hi Jimmy, you were missed at the Juniors and Veterans this weekend Mate!!!! no pictures of the racing
![]() Ive just measured my springs and they are 5mm high but they are larger than the v2 springs and they taper down quite a bit, trouble is they are not cheap. If you want can send you my spare springs that ive got for your car?

Let me know if you need any shock towers and a rear top deck Jimmy, i have some spare outdrive springs as well if you need them.
I have only done one meeting with them in, no bent driveshafts so far.

You were not kidding about the A.C. front shock tower being thicker !!
WOW ! Last question though, the springs are for where? the front diff outdrives?
