Default C4.1 lipo battery posts - too short ?

Building my C4.1, the 4 blue lipo / battery posts are miles too short, am I missing something, I assume they need to extend above the lipos so the brace works properly ?

Cheers

It's completely dependant on the height of your LiPo's. The posts do need spacing up with additional blue shim/spacers in the kit. From memory I think I've got 3mm under each of mine (dont quote me on that)

Agree with Phil, I have 4mm.

Its very important that the battery brace sits in the posts and the brace to the gear box feels free.

Cheers guys.

I only got 2 spacers in my kit, both too short. Also with the right size spacers the screws are too short ! Normal sized lipos in there too...

Typical, of all the stuff I've got, I don't have countersunk screws of the right length !

Yeah, as Tony says, make sure when you space them up that the posts fit up through the brace holes and when tightened down it's just "pinch" tight on the cells.

Easiest way is to dry fit the LiPo's and then space each post up until the tops are flush with the top surface of the brace.

i used 6mm under each post for the reedy lipos and 1/2 4-40's fits a treat.

I used the thumb screws I had lay around! Spacing is perfect for the Orion Lipos, and I didn't have anything else to space it with..
