The only time I've had that has been when I've not had chance to clean the car after a wet meeting, but it's only surface rust and cleans straight off. Is the room humid at all?

When I clean my cars I give them a brush down with a brush that has wd40 or any other maintenance spray on it, if they is too much on I have another 'clean' brush with no spray on to take off the excess.
This seems to leave a thin layer on the parts and protects them from cosmetic rust you are seeing. It also makes other parts shiny! I'm not sure on the ally driveshafts , I'm not sure if they would stand the power these days. Mip may do some shiny ones tho, check DMS as they bring them into the uk |
