The undeersteer won't be helped by the front roll bar remove it! Medium or short wheelbase not long Front oil 40w ae and rear 30w ae same springs Weight in rear end centre weight if it's a b44.1 Loosen slipper ever so slightly to get power down better or go up a couple of pinions Black roll bar or possible silver on rear 6.5-7.5t motor Mini pin yellows all round maybe with a couple of Rows cut off the inner and outer not to many though! Then there's the diffs make sure there tight enough This should help you

I'd be running Yellow mini spikes not pins as mentioned - and i personally would never cut any spikes off unless you're running on multi surface, but that's just me.
Try using soft inserts as they seem to help me. |

When I raced an Optima Mid 20+years ago,one venue had a carpet-
polished wood mixed surface(it was a works club IIRC). No roll bars, softer springs and oil all round. Tyres were the stock Bridgestones(only time I used 'em,otherwise it was CAT pins). Motor was a 21t running a 20t pinion The trick I used when coming off the carpet onto the polished wood(it was a long left sweeping curve)was to brake on the carpet,go onto the wood into a "Finnish Flick" and nail the throttle to hold a long 4 wheel drift through the curve. It would just set you up right to go back onto the carpet in a staright line with full power on. Mark |

Also had the same problem on sunday with yellow mini pins...........I started of running yellow full spikes which were awesome in qualifying but changed for the final as everyboby else said that mini pins were the best to run with. I was all over the place, understeer on initial turn in then oversteer from mid corner ![]() ![]() ![]() this is the setup im using...... http://www.petitrc.com/setup/associa...219/index.html |

Ive been running a B44.1 for a few weeks on polished floor and found the car suffers understeer, all things ive tried to make it more postive on the front just make it unstable think it may just be that type of chassis.
If you want a steery animal maybe the b44 is not the beast to have but i think it could be a great safe chassis outside. |
