Can i simply buy an X2C chassis and transfer all my monkey bits over onto it ?? I want the narrower chassis, and as i now run saddle packs exclusively it makes sense to swap

Looking at the manual for both, the key parts that attach to the chassis are the same part number (front and rear chassis plate).
The front upper parts (Upper Suspension Arm Holder and Front brace mount) are different numbers but I think they are the same parts. So I'd say yes. It will make getting hold of clear shells much easier too.

you should only need the chassis & bodyshell. everything else is interchangable.
