After racing at the Barley Mow tonight I know why this is the Best Club I have raced at.
But I'm keeping it secret just like Brigadoon. Some really great racing tonight couldn't have enjoyed it better (apart from winning the final that is). Great crowd of people Great Race Managment Crew.

Glad to hear there is at least one friendly club in the north east where freedom of speech is encouraged unlike other clubs where members and visitors are treat like s***

I've only been going 6 weeks now and have to say this club has been extremely welcoming and supportive.
I'm getting a little better now and some races were getting closer. If I keep the speed down and focus on laps without hitting stuff, I will do better ![]() I've just got a lipo holder and some stick lipos to avoid the problem this week with using saddles In fact, we should really get some videos up of the racing at the club. |

If you wish to race Buggies or TCs on a wooden floor (it's carpet at Barley Mow) I would recommend TyneMet without reservation, a good bunch of people, great venue, close racing

I went visiting Tyne met and it was way to frantic people missing heats due to not enough time to fix cars I like the laid back approach after all I am in this hobby to enjoy it not be rushed from one race to the next we all like racing but there should also be a social side where newer drivers can be helped and encouraged not just laughed at

fairly busy at TyneMet but you learn to organise to meet the shorter between heat pauses, depending on the number of heats, (last night 22 drivers, 4 heats) lots of time between rounds, i'll definitely be back again next week!
After running 8mins in 1/12, 5mins in buggies seems to rush past, maybe 8min heats in buggies hmmmmm. Who said Alter Ego? - oh a crescendo of deafening silence |
