Default Hi Buggy Racers!! I would really appreciate your opinion on this idea

Hi Buggy Racers!! I would really appreciate your opinion on this idea. To be honest even if I get 5 of you say do it we probably will as I myself want to race my Durango in this format and my vintage Sand Scorcher. I think it will be a good laugh. Shall we do it or not? Short Course will end up as total carnage i'm sure :-)

Thoughts please :-)

I've got no problem with the lack of jumps, etc, but imo foams and additives are a huge no-no. They're buggys, not touringcars!

Another no from me i'm afraid John,

Dates clash with other 'proper' offroad series' in the midlands throughout winter, so not even tempted

plus i didn't particularly like buggys on foams 15yrs ago... did bring back memories for a second... but not favourite racing ones!

too much of a comprimise with massive set up differences and faffing about glueing and trueing plus getting additive set up right!

do foams exist for buggys anymore?

Best of luck with it though

I'd also be a no.

It'd be a no from me too, sorry. It was quite a commitment to be competitive there last year as practice was open on saturday afternoon so most of them i stayed in a hotel too.. I wouldn't do that for just a flat track on foams.

I think you have lost sight of what 1/10th offroad is all about. In my opinion, if we wanted to race on a flat surface, we would race touring cars.

As you will remember I was very enthusiastic about your off-road series last year because you built nice tracks to race on with good drivable features on a good surface with a large area (the only place I could find last year where all of that was true). It allowed me to work out some setup changes etc. which helped this year and was really looking forward to running at your venue again this year.

I am afraid though that I would rather go to my local TC club with my TF6 than travel getting on for 2 hours to run a buggy on foams, sorry.

I hope you do an off-road series, even a single event, and I will be there!
