Ive just painted a shell using liquid paint mask for the first time but still with rattle cans. Really enjoyed doing it.
What kind of knife do people use for cutting ? I'm itching to have a go with an airbrush now. What would people recommend at the moment ? Also where do people spray ? Is indoors an option with an airbrush and non toxic paint ?, DIY spray booth ? Cheers. ![]() . |

if you are going to be painting regular then a good airbrush and compressor with a tank. I use Swann Morton blades, Bob Dively liqui mask and faskolor, spray in the annex where it is nice and warm.

Haha, as above really. If you're looking at getting an airbrush then you can't go wrong with an Iwata HP-CS. I got mine for about £50 off ebay.
again, if you're using faskolor then a decent compressor would be a good idea. They are a bit noisy though, so if you've got a good out-house or shed or garage I'd go in there. I'm outside in my shed. ![]() Nice shell by the way. ![]() |

That is one nice looking paint job! All the more so for having been done without an airbrush!
What shell is that by the way. Looks vaguely familiar but cant quite put my finger on it... ![]() |
