Default Cab fronted bodies, what's the crack?

It seems everywhere you look these days everyone is running a cab fronted body rather than a conventional one on 10th buggies, so what is the reason?

Is it these bodies offer a handing advantage or is it just the latest craze?

Those who defend these nasty looking beats use arguments like more grip due to the cab beeing wing shaped.

Personally, I think that if there is any real life advantage it is because other drivers, using "normal bodies", loose focus for a fraction of a second every time they see these uglies...

correct....I still love traditional shells...but even standard 1:1 road cars are rocking it...check out the Mitsubishi colt! Looks like everybody who drives one is Maverick from TopGun!! Love it

The colts almost as ugly as those awful shells, but would be interested to find out how many people actually buy them.

I run a Bulldog shell on my B4, can't comment on the handling because I haven't compared it back to back with a conventional shell. Certainly I haven't noticed any handling problems.

I've got used to the looks and quite like them now, but what I definitely like is the amount of clearance it gives your ESC. The conventional bodies with room for a big ESC all look swollen in comparison.
