I just opened the air vents on my mate's DB01R Baldre shell to keep the motor running a bit cooler. I scored round the cut lines with a fresh scalpel blade, used a reamer to make a couple holes in the middle then used some curved scissors to make cuts at right angles right just up to the score line. The pieces snapped off quite easily and I finished it with 800 grit paper.

i usually leave the corners with a radius . if you leave a sharp corner the body tends to crack.

Tidy Job! I use a dremel with a fine sanding cone - takes just a few seconds and leaves no sharp edges to crack/tear.
