Default NIMCC

I made enquiries about the possible use of their track for 1/10th electric buggies. This is a copy of the e-mail I got back. I've posted this to see who would be interested in coming up that weekend.

Hi David

Thanks for the email. The club is having its next race day on Saturday 13th August and I would suggest that you guys come along then. We can run an electric class along side our regular 1/8 scale nitro. My thoughts are to open the track at 9.30 for a1 hr practice for electric only followed by an 1hr practice for the nitro. Then kick off 4 rounds of 5 minute heats followed then by finals. During the day we could discuss the possibility of running electric races.

I hope this suits

Regards

Steven McClements

What do you guys think?

As you know Will, the track is 100% astro-turf, so less maintenance required at the end of the day. Supposing we only get about a dozen drivers from both North and South it will let people see this excellent facillity. I plan to discuss things more with NIMCC on the day. If this is done right it, I feel it could be really good. Perhaps a multi-venue series in future including Lucan, Banbridge and Ballymena?

Even hosting a national round next year would be amazing

As always though, these things only work with the support of the drivers. I just hope that enough people make the trip. We can speak as a group to Steven McClements of NIMCC about what the best way forward would be. An experienced head such as yours Will would be of great help. Hope you can make it.
