Default Brushless - Cogging?

Hi

On the weekend, I had some rather bad luck with two brushless combos. It's the second one that I can't work out.

Basically, the motor seems to cut in and out momentarily when on full throttle or it seems quite sluggish, without any punch. Sometimes, it won't run at all, even after resting/cooling for a while.

Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be overheating or geared too high, or perhaps radio interference?

It is a Nosram Storm 2 Star brushless motor that came as part of a combo with a Nosram speedo and I usually run it in my XXXT, but had to transfer it to my ZX5 to make the final (that usually runs on an LRP Vector 3 Star, but the rotor worked its way free!).

Any ideas would be a great help.

Guy.

PS I have received conflicting advice from the Nosram manual and my local model shop on gearing, so any advice on that would also be good both for the Nosram in the XXXT and the LRP in the ZX5.

i had this problem. its almost likke its stuttering under load. i got told it was the senson wire. but no one has told me where i should be sending it to get sorted. as for gearing that shouldnt make a difference if it goes or not. and that depends on the track

im no expert but try gearing down a tooth or two on the pinion or spur also are you using old or cheap cells as somtimes the low power and punch they can give might be causing problems for you are your motor or speedo overheating just a few things to consider try running with the shell of to see if more air helps if so open the shell up with cooling ducts.as i said im no expert just grasping at ideas

hi
this was very similar to what happened to me

if you have a look on the rotor and check for any fluff comin from it. if there is this may be causing the problem and might have to send it to nosram/LRP

like IceMike im no expert but it could be
