Today i started to totally strip and rebuild the amazing TRF-511 i recently bought from Chris Clarke (Nobby on here)

Placed orders this week with JT Models, Stella models, RC Mart, Budz Balls, Hobby online, Tonys Tamiya Parts and a few others.

New parts ordered :-

New belts
New Bumper Parts pack
New blue seal bearings
New Front Shock Tower
Alloy steering base / bridge and arms
Alloy Caster blocks
Alloy rear hubs
All black wheels

Here is the initial photo of the rebuild/strip

More to come as day goes on

Looking good, you probably want to cut a coil off the rear springs. They are too long as std - you can see it coilbound in one of your pics.

14AWG helps to keep the wiring neat and makes no power difference on track.

The rears have 1 coil cut already but i made a bit of a mess of it, new ones on the way

Full set of new TRF light blue turnbuckles on order too but here are photos of todays fittings :-

New RW spur gear from JT Models (would recomend 1 of these) :-

Also completed the 501/502/511 Alu hybrid stearing set up (Still looking for the original tamiya arms using 3 racing ones atm with a slightly lighter blue tinge) :-
