Default 22 saddle side by side mod

22 mid, saddle pack \ losi short lipo, side by side mod i did yesterday. cut the plastic sides to fit 2 saddles side by side, then shave off chassi edge, make a flat spot so the edge not hurt the lipo. make a battery brace and mount battery posts. space between low profile servo and lipo is now 7 cm. you mey want to fill up under lipo with something ca 2mm plate becouse lipo is higher outside on plastic\chassi side than in middle. you can mount electric where you want.

make more rear grip and jumps better.

one downside is that orig losi body wont fit due to lipo is higher than plastic sides. so a FTW vane body is best choice. http://www.avidrc.com/product/18/bod...es-by-ftw.html

Couldn't that increase the chance of tweaking the chassis though?

we did the same mods with good results, however we have achieved much better results by moving to the 10mm shortened chassis, which is available from Rossmodels. Transformed the car.

Electrics are tight on a standard chassis. Surely almost impossible on a 10mm shorter version?

No,just look at the photo, there is plenty of room, just imagine the servo being 10mm back. on the photo there is conservatively 15mm to play with

A link to the rossmods website.
We have been testing this new chassie and battery layout for a couple off meetings now and it transformed the car.
We will have them on sale at the bury reg and southport nat.
