Default SX3 Belts

Ran my car at keighly regional today for the second time since i got it. After running it at kidderminster last week i noticed all three belts had started to fray. In my final i lost power to the front wheels, after finishing the race as a 2wd car i looked and my centre belt has snapped.
Just wondered if anyone else has had an issue with theres?

Yeah same issue hear mate ran it in a couple of race meetings and middle belt started fraying. Then today have an awsome meeting with car finished the forth race and belt had basically stretched and snapped. Back belt not looking to healthy either. Also no someone elses that is starting fray after 2nd time out. NOT IMPRESSED!!! apart from that good car.

Apply some glue on the sidewalls of the belt, apparently (according to Trish) this seems to help a lot.

I did exactly that and have run 4 meets with no belt issues.

Thanks Trish. Love you

Hello guys,
I'm new on the forum. It's really nice forum with a lot of good informations. I drive the Cat sx3 last weekend at the german masters qualification and got belt trouble. Which glue you use? A Team driver told me to use less spacer under the belt tensioner. should help also a bit!
cheers Lexington

I use my Cat sx 2 every weekend on grass track with big jumps and a lot of bumps and
i change the belt's maybe one time the year. I sink its important to don't overstretch them. The B44 drivers have to change also some parts in the gear. I sink sx 2 is still a good car.

Good thing to say on a public forum for a team that supported you for 12 months. When you brake your B44 and leave them should we wait for a simliar post to arrive about that?

I have had very few issues with the belts personally on my Cat SX3. The problem should be sorted very shortly. Applying glue as Carl has said may help, something I havent tried tho but cant do any harm.

Si

I did think that was coming from a previous team driver...

Ok cheers Simon and Carl. Will see what damage I can cause with teh glue - lol!

My biggest problem at the moment isn't the car it's the ESC/motor combo - Car when it wasn't having heat issues was very good.

I have just got my SX3 i've run it for about 5 meets and towards the end of the day this sunday at torch I really felt like the car was becoming mine, I've come to my SX3 from a B44 and There is no comparison. The Cat feels stable, sure footed and confident. Getting my boy one now becaues I don't think that he should be held back by the B44,

Cat all the way.

Oh and it is metric.

Boring!
3 weeks more like 3 months and 4 nationals in I don't think so!
Any company who bring a car out half way through a season is crazy!
And I can't see why things are not fully tested before the car is first released as everyone else thinks!
And I buy a new car when ever I want as I'm a clean freak ;0)
The b44 finishes races unless the wheel nuts are not tightened up whoops!
And to add to mr moss's comment, if the b44 doesn't finish a race it is normally due to the driving not the FAILURE of the car it's self!

Seems to me that you have some anger issues.

Lets not turn this into another brand bashing thread. But I will say this about Schumacher. I don't know anyone that has spoken to Cavaleri or Kinwald for advice with their cars, but I have had a chance to communicate with Moss and Cockeril both on the forum and by phone for advice....and the built quality is flawless. For the hobbyist that I am this is priceless.

Enjoy your Thunder tiger...oops I mean Associated cars, and remember not to burn any bridges in the future, you might need to use them again one day.
