Default Fixed Junior Classes?

A few today want to get there little ones racing, we just need to come up with a good format that will work. Options are:

Run anything (use what you have)
Short Course SC10 RTR (more of less even playing field)
2nd hand Buggies

This is aimed at under 14 year olds and the main reason is to get the kdis used to the cars and the processes, before they go up and race with adults.

I'm learning toward the Short Course as they can go over the barriers and seem to be pretty much indesctructable.

This is not a class that will be scuiteneered and check, more and ethos to keep things level so the children can learn craft, rather than fastest car wins.

Any idea's?

What does YOUR club / track do?

You know my thoughts. Short course all the way. It will cost a little bit to buy I think around £250 RTR brushless with 2.4ghz radio gear. In the long run it would save money and keep interest for the smaller ones as there should be less down time, less off track time and a lot less time on the tools which for the dad's racing too will be better as fixing 2 cars between heats isn't going to happen.

I vote short course.
