I use a KIPOR IG1000 Petrol Generator does about 5 hours off 2.5ltrs of fuel its only 14kg fully loaded and is shaped like a suitcase. Great little genny I think I paid about £270 for it but it a worth while investment.

Me too - love it easy to move around, and start. Big point for me is that it does not smell of oil and fuel in the back of the car on the journey home.

I had no end of trouble with Kipor generators and bought a SDMO INEO 1000 generator. Same small size, very good on fuel and it was absolutely flawless.

sdmo neo 1000 got it cheap as it was ex display £176.
Runs without fault powers caravan with fridge, tv, charger etc at outdoor meetings @4hrs on a fill. Hot water boiler in van pushes it but still manages. not heavy or smelly but get a spark plug socket as mine was sooted up after the winter of little use. clean plug and off it goes again.
