why not? whats wrong with using tamiya plugs? fair enough there not the best but they will be fine with a brushless system so long as your not planning on dumping a full lipo thru it in 5mins should be fine.

To be honest, those connected struggled with 1300 sc's 20 odd years ago, coupled with a marbuchi 540! Melt down was a common occurrence, sticking together and becoming virtually impossible to get apart.. They are more trouble than changing to something more robust... I would suggest use a deans connector as a minimum, I prefer corally tubes, but these are easily connected in correctly.

I agree don't use them. Ive melted them just using a silver can in a TT01

I had Tamiya connectors on my Mardave and as a 'newbie' to RC thought they must be ok as it comes with them.
Mine never melted but I got bad connections and I would lose power. I changed to 4mm plugs got them on ebay quite cheap think it was 20 pairs for £7.50 |

Why manufacturers still put these on speedos i'll never know.
My Fusion exceed 10.5 had one connected when I bought it. It wasn't even used for one battery pack. Good connectors are; Deans, corally, Traxxas and a few others. I use Traxxas connectors and swear by them.
