Default Cougar SV servo?????

Took my new car out to the track yesterday for the first time and managed to destroy the servo by the end of the first lap........ I thought it was a pretty bullet proof servo that Id fitted - a metal geared KO Propo one. Anyone got any better recomendations or know of a servo saver that would fit within the chassis?!

What model of KO was it? Some of them have a 'sacrificial' plastic gear in them...

Agree with Mikey, Savox 1258 is awesome for the money (and we have one in stock )

Most KO servos are good. May have been on its way out.

Change the gears and get a servo saver.

Jobs a good un.

I use the spektrum ones s6040 it's been in the car for a year now with no problems, think they are around £45-50 and they are titanium geared with no plastic gears.

Simon is right. The STD plastic bottom gears in the ko are a kind of weak link to protect the motor. Ko do a hybrid metal/nylon first gear you can replace it with. I've never stripped one of those.
