Default corona ct8f module work with futaba 3vc

right after i had a problem the otherday with my tx(futaba 3vc) i found that the range from my ct3f was hitting max at less then 10metres,ive recharged my battery(waiting on a lipo coming for it) and still the same,so ive rebound with both my receivers still the same am i right in thinking i may have damaged the module?

anyway ive ordered a ct8f as its the only 1 i could get in the uk and want to make sure it will work with my 3vc has any1 used 1 before?

any help much appreciated.

I looked at the Corona modules a while back, but it is dogged by a glitching servo issue in the 7/8 channel radios it's intended for, I could never confirm if it would be a problem in a 3ch set, so went with the Assan kit.

Glad to know it (mostly) works fine in car TXs. The FrSky module or a Spektrum Air module (thanks to the orange RX receivers) would be my pick if I was having a do-over. Assan is a bit more costly (especially module) and, oddly, my TX won't save changes with the module in. The module is like a very large write-protect dongle stuck in it....

My handset is the 3vcs and they work perfectly, I have told the people selling them on eBay that they are compatible but they havnt added it to the compatible lists,

Actualy 3 people at our track use the ct3f / cr4d systems...

I picked up another Hitec CRX off ebay for £30 for my cousin who's starting out. He can stick a Futaba-compatible module in it too if 40mhz doesn't work out. £50-odd for a good quality mid-range 2.4ghz radio, can't sniff at that - and receiver cost is big if you have a large fleet.

One thing I noticed was battery life improved when I switched the CRX to 2.4ghz.
