Question getting hold of track rope.
hi guys.

i'm trying to get my hands on thick rope for track laying, anyone know for a good place to get some from? free if possible.

i dunno what scale you are racing but if climbing ropes are thick enough, ask round climbling clubs/shops

I know for a fact ropes have an expiry date whether or not they have been used or not and its illegal to sell them and as far as i know they get chucked out

sports centre's sometimes have climbing rope....

also go to local oil distributors, tanker hose is good alternative to rope and they have to change them frequently and dispose of old ones

ask at your local fire service depot if they have any hose available for disposal and fill with gravel.
