Default Pins or Spikes?

Noticed a few drivers running minipins last night, does anybody else think these could be a more consistant tyre choice. As fed up with spending 4 weeks running in full spikes that only work at the best for another

I used the Minispikes last night for a bit of entertainment in the final heat and posted my fastest time of the night. They did tend to be a bit understeery however i think thats down to me cutting them for Off Road Wars.

Really going to consider getting a full set and giving them a try

I'm still keen to give a set of the DBoots a bash. Heard mixed reports on the shiny stuff but would like to try them anyway.

I know Spud has used some Dboots at the hall before, didnt seem to rate them from memory.

I need some new tyres soon, so have the fun of running them in!

I know a while ago Stu Rand used some yellow mini spikes and went ok on them.

We just need some test pilots to give these a try!

Spud's were already used if I recall though - they did seem rather squidgy to me I must admit. Wonder if they would work with a larger / stiffer insert?

hi chaps

unfortuantly you guys are stuck with full spikes as les said we have tried them all i tried mini spikes more than most and to be honest you will never get rid of the push from them and the lack of side bite as for the molded inserts i think it is down to personel prefrence i always ran moulded because they are more consitant than foam and no inserts though the corners but i also set my car up to drive though the corner and not drift style like most.
