Default Southport National This Weekend

Hello all!

Just seen this on another forum (sorry Jimmy)

National Update
I have been down to the track tonight to check on the situation.
The track itself has no problems with flooding
The field however is wet & boggy, but if people are sensible there is still places to park
We would advise people wanting to camp to make other arrangements unless you have got a fully waterproof tent
Caravans will have to be parked closer together so no awnings
People coming on Friday just to put up their pitting tent are advised to park on Rotten Row & carry their tent into the park.
To save on space we are asking people to car share & pitting tent share
Please wear sensible shoes or boots
I would like to thank you all for your cooperation I hope it turns out to be a good Weekend
Regards Eric

So it looks like pitting in the awning is out of the question.

Stu - are you going to take the tent shell to pit in?

Yep, will do.
As long as it's not like last weekend it should be OK.

With no sleeping compartments erected (he-he) the tent shell shell is quite big, room for a couple of tables; first come-first-served.

Hello, another slight change of plan, Kash rang me today and said he was iffy about coming down due to possibility of no tents so I have said that if it is too wet to put his tent up to sleep in and the caravans can stay on the site then he and Gemma can sleep in our caravan (gemma on the shelf obviously!). If it is too wet to even put the caravan on then we either try and blag onto the Caravan club site at the back of the track OR we come back home and everyone stays at our house or between ours and Stu's.

Hopefully we can put at least the caravans on and if need be put Kash's shell of a tent up to pit in ( nice and big).

Yeah! Must admit Jimmy, when I read the post back I was expecting 120 people wanting to stay at my house!!!

BUT, I think with today being dry in the North West the field won't be too bad as long as people are sensible.
