I have Part number 53500 (Cross joint for assembly universal shaft) In stock. I know it fits the 501 and 502, but im not 100% sure on the 201, but it looks to be the same size.
P.M if that's any good. |

I know the 511 uses different cross joint to the 53500. Its a longer and slimmer pin. 53500 is for the driveshafts on the Tamiya touring cars. Ive got a cross joint for the 201 i think but im not overly keen on parting with it, as you said, hard to track down. You may be best ordering a pair of driveshafts then you`ll have an extra spare one and some spare shafts.

Its a long shot but what about the cross joint set from an HPI Pro4? It uses the same reverse cup type CVD as the 511 and its metric? If I had a 511 I'd try one from my Pro4 but I dont

Rich, the 53500 definitely fits the 501 and 502 as that's the part number stated in the manual, you are also correct that it fits the touring car range too.
Unfortunately i haven't got a 201 here anymore to compare side by side. But if its just a longer pin, then that can easily be made from piano wire or the likes. |

Yes, i saw mate but sadly the 201 is different.
The driveshafts on the rear of the 201 are the same as the rear of the 511, they are the Tamiya WO ones. The pins and cross joints are different as the pins are 1.6 x 10.4mm whereas the 53500 are shorter and slightly larger diameter. |

Ah right, something to remember for the future. I also looked at the WO shaft upgrades on my 502 and i can see they are bigger compared to the 53500 i have here.
But where to get the part 19440664 from? |
