Hi Guys,
What do you guys at the Caldicot club think of the Team Xtreme X11 (not the X10 or other older cars please) Thanks, Rob |

I've always wanted one but never had the guts to get one.
![]() They seem to have got their act together and sorted out much of the reliability issues with them now though. Have a word with Dave Belsten as he used to run one I think as a team driver so he'd have the best input.. If you are in 2 minds about what car to get just try and blag as many goes on peoples cars at club until you find one that suits your driving.. Give me a shout on friday and you can have a few laps with the 502.. ![]()

I have no first hand experience of them, but have always loved the ingenuity of them. I've come close a few times to getting one, even if it was just for the engineering of the suspension...and to hang it on the wall somewhere, if not not race it.
The few I've seen look good on track, the reputation as said has been of poor durability, but I've heard better and better things on that front recently. The final straw for me for not getting was watching Ellis Stafford drive one at the Nats last year! It looked awesomely quick, and totally planted, but then his cars normally do I suppose...but the deal breaker for me was how when it flips over...it really just stays over!!! Not that it goes over easily due to the low CofG, but with conventional suspension you've got features that help the car roll right over, with that layout...not a hope...flat as a pancake!!! Once on your roof your staying there til a Marshall can get to you...and you know what they can be like at times ;-) If I was a better driver with better knowledge of setup to help deal with grip roll, handling issues, etc, I would give it go...but I still have too many roll over moments at the mo!!! Still have that little urge for something a bit different at times though ![]()

He said different Balders, not a copy of his B44!
![]() Much like the others, I've always liked the engineering concept of the Pred, but again I'd need to be a better driver and have more setup experience before I would want to run one. |
