Default Speed passion pc usb link software problems

If anyone is really experienced with this please help!

recently bought 2 sp gt2.1 stock esc's one works fine that i bought before 2011 but the newer one I bought yesterday has come with an updated software it seems and when I go to try set it up on the pc or try change the software between stock & mod racing it always comes up with 'upgrade software' it shows this everytime I connect the esc up to the pc too and then doesnt let you set the esc up, all boxes become unselectable, will post some screen shots up tomorrow morning to make my situation possibly more understandable as I have no idea why its doing this when my other sp gt 2.1 works fine with my pc...

Any help is very much appreciated as spent ages wiring it up neatly & want try avoid having to return it if I can solve this...

I've tried that, unless there is a newer version of software hidden away on sp website that I havnt seen?

Heres a few screen shots anyway... just says upgrade software when you connect esc & when you finish upgrading software on esc... so you cant do anything with it and has odd symbols in profile name & other settings etc that you cant touch or it wont let you change it... ot normal at all... and I'm so confused at it, tried everything, I'm usually good at sorting this sort of problem out but running out of ideas!

As you bought it only a few days ago have you spoken to the retailer you got if from? Guess you would need to send it back to them rather than a distributor.
