X2c indoor set up with mods

hey guys,

few of you have asked for an indoor set up for the x2c, try this and let me know how you get on, any questions please ask

front
Oil 35w
Spring AE Blue
Piston 3 hole taper drilled to 1.2 all round
Shock set to 78.5 over all length
2mm external limiter
Middle shock pick up on tower
Outer shock pick up on Bone

Camber link, Outside on Tower Inside on Hub, 2 washers under ball stud ( on tower)
25 front hubs ** trimmed 2mm and set backward on wishbone.
Axel set to low ** trimmed 1mm to lower

**Ackerman bar flipped and lower 2mm

Front wing fitted

camber -1

Toe in/out 0

Rear

25w
Spring AE sliver
Piston 3 hole taper drilled to 1.2 all round
Shocks set to 90.5 over all length
4 internal spacers and 4mm external limiter
**New Inner hole drilled on shock tower
**New inner hole drilled on wishbone
Wishbone set backward * trimmed
Hubs set forward ** trimmed for shorter wheel base
**Rear roll bar fitted bar at 0.90.
Camber link set at Inside low on Hub
Camber link set to outside high on tower ** new hole pick up bracket moving pick up 3mm shorter
No Gurney on wing, but wing set forward

Camber -2
Anti squat 3 deg
Toe in 4 deg

40g lead under servo
60 G of lead in speedo. receiver tray
21g in each of the small pockets at rear of chassis next to motor
Crush tubes fitted all round in hubs
Wide rear wheels and narrow front wheel fitted on high grip tracks
Inserts from inside line racing - Donutz Blue all round
Tyres Schumacher mini pins all round, no rows cut

What doe's flipping the Ackerman bar do

It gives more steering , and by lowering it you get more bump steer

What do you use for crush tubes in the front hubs. I have used 5x7x? spacers in the rear hubs but there is so little space in the fronts with the "down pivot" close to the axle.

Hi Guys, Ackerman flipped: This is at the front behind the bulkhead , its the bar that your steering turnbuckles pick up form to your starring arms, its lowed by placing shimz between the bar and the servo saver pick ups.

Axel low: the axel that the front wheel sits on, the steering arm is skimmed so that when sat in the caster block it’s at its lowest setting, its then shimed to stay low

how many shims you put in there? and longer screws as well might me needed

axel low so the shims are put at the top. that can't be a big difference right?

What setup equiptment are you using?

Just two wheelbase shims on both ( i belive the kit has one shim on the axel height- you will need to skim the bottom of the sterring arm to lower the axel) the bar and the axel , and no you don’t need longer screws.

lowering the axel will keep the front wheel closer/or pushed to the ground when the car is leaning over in a bend, but it also lowers the bumps steer, lowering the Ackerman bar resets the bump steer back to kit.
