Default 4wd battery layout

Is the Schumacher Cat sx2 the only competitive 4wd that takes stick packs rather than saddle packs?

Just looked at that x11. Doesn't seem to be a very common car and seems fairly old compared to the cat. More expensive too. I'm only a beginner

Look at the Tamiya Durga. http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewtamiyadurga/
Same suspension as their TRF cars but with plastic chassis to keep the price down. You might not win a national with it but it's more than enough for club racing.

That looks like a good option. I'm only wanting it for club racing and maybe a regional or two later on in the year.
