Default New track in Weston-super-mare

Heard from a member of Mendip club last night that they are about to start building an off road track next to the car park at their well known nitro on-road track just outside W-S-M

Plans as far as I know are for it to be 10th sized

and astro turf was mentioned

Hopefully one of their members will get on here with some more concrete information ....

If I find out more, you guys will be the first to know

Now that would be good. Their on road track is top class, so can only imagine an off road track would follow suit.

That's at least 5 minutes drive from my house, TOO FAR

Hahaha looking forward to seeing how this pans out, I miss racing at Mendip, always had so much fun there with my 1/5th scale!

Hi
Once we are happy that the track is ready(a little time away still) and that all angles have been covered (especially safety) then we will discuss at committee how we plan to use the track and how it can be used by members.

We are all excited about our new venture but everthing is moving a bit too quickly at the moment as we have many issues to consider....our landlord being one very important one!

As I said in my previous post we will post as much information as and when it becomes available on our website, and on here.
Please be patient...good things are worth waiting for.

Exciting stuff...great to hear work has started!

Couldn't make it on Monday unfortunately...but being only 5 mins from home, will definately be trying to get along and lend a hand when I can...and how can I not become a regular once it's done

I bet your getting all sorts of comments and ideas from people, but I'd love to see a well shaped space with a couple of nice features and lots of different track layouts being possible! And if it's half as good as I hope it'll be I reckon you'll find a few people will come out of the woodwork for this once it's done.

Anyway, good luck Mendip...knowing how much all clubs rely on volunteers for any help, I'll see you soon with a spade, keep us informed when the next work party is
