ah sorry

its the XP3-SS 2.4 GHz 3-channel radio system that comes with the b4.1

i was going to upgrade to the spektrum dx3e at £70 but after thinking about it i quite like the handset and the only reason is i want a short stubby aerial like the b44 chaps.

Hi fella... I have several spektrum radio installs but all use the same rx... some are the original 8.5" length rx antennae and some are the 3.6" hand-shortened length and all perform equally well...

I ran a spektrum system in my b4 with a 8.5" antennae... but just laid the antennae wire down inside the chassis tub with just a small amount exiting thro' the antennae tube to the outside of the shell and no loss of performance was exhibited at all with this method either!! Try that idea first before you start shortening the antennae if you just want the cosmetic stubby aerial look...
