Default B44 to B44.1 Conversion

Just in case anyone is considering carrying this out, Associated have put a list together on their site:
http://www.teamassociated.com/pdf/ca...conversion.pdf

It also details a few of the changes made to chassis layout between the cars. Does moving the servo inwards by 3mm really make that much difference?

just to be clear , they list AS9708 as a roll bar (rear) but its actually the v1 motor mount :-s not the roll bar ! the roll bar set is AS9780 !

Bringing the servo inboard by 3mm would make a difference, since the weight will be more central. A lot of the new 1/10th touring cars have done this as well don't forget that lipos are lighter than the old C-cells which the older B44/BJ4 was built around. Should give the B44.1 a better balance.

That'll be why they've put an 81 spur on it, to bring the motor in a similar amount...

I had a few laps with bradders' car at kiddy last weekend (looks like a b44.1) and it was a very nice feeling car. far safer feeling to drive than the std b44.

Maybe that was down to the new shell Griff!
Clever way to move the motor, I presume that's how they've managed to do away with the hole in the chassis too?
