Default Weight in a xx4

How much extra weight do people put in their xx4's? I have none at present and it is a little underweight (1500ish). Also where do you put it?

Cheers

Dave

From memory, I've got about 30g on each side of the rear tunnel on the inside of the batteries.
You can also fit 10-15g inside the rear shock tower and some in and around the front steering bellcranks and inside the front tunnel under the layshaft.

I also run the metal outdrives in the front diff to add some weight upfront - in tital, mine weighs in at about 1650g as far as I can remember.

I only put about 50g in the gap between the belt cover and chassis edge opposite the motor to get the left-right balance correct at the front wheels. this is because the brushless motor I use is a little longer and heavier than the brushed it was designed for.
