Default Championship Positions

The overall 2WD championship positions will be posted tonight, including the "F" license grades for 2WD.

Once the final round of the 4WD series is complete (30th Sept @ Kiddy) I will post those.

The trophy positions for 2WD are...

Champion - Tom Yardy
Top U13 - Callum Hodges
Top U16 - Ashley Williams
Top Vet - Ken Reith
Top F2 - Nick Oliver (i think)
Top F3 - Matt Simpson
Top F4 - Jonathan Kedge
Top F5 - Mark Stanley

In answer to your question on the other thread, you and Kevin were about 6 or 7 places off your F4, i think.

If you can concentrate at the Kiddy 4WD meeting, then you have a outside chance of getting your F4 in 4WD. But it will need to you drive well, and watch the top drivers to pick up the lines. You don't need to drive as fast as us, but the lines are very important no matter what speed you do.

Phil would i be correct in saying its currently 3 rounds to count??

Also how do we get things such as this reviewed do we do it at the BRCA AGM as i would like to possibly see it raised to 4 rounds for 2008 to count like the north west.

Yeah it's 3 to count from 5. It would need to be submitted as a proposal to the Regional AGM, that normally happens near the end of the year.

The problem with changing to 4 to count, is we only have 5 possible rounds and as seen this year 1 of those got cancelled.

Another potential issue we have for next year is we may only have enough clubs to hold 4 rounds in each class. This is something I am planning on raising myself at our regional AGM.

imho ash its very difficult to get new proposals actioned at the reg agm as for some reason 1 club official from each club in the region is allowed to vote, unlike any other agm (not just rc) ive been to were all members who race and the vote will affect are allowed to vote!

Phil can you exsplain something to me ive just been looking though the results im using andy griff as an example sorry andy you are just in a reasonable possition. And im not trying to say your wrong sleigh or anything. But as andys only done 2 rounds surely he needs to do 3 to get his f4???? I know he is on for his f2 in 4wd so it doesnt really matter but im just wondering if you can exsplain or have you just left him in there and skipped him??? Really confused.

Ash...

There is no requirement for a driver to complete a minimum number of rounds to be eligible for license grades or championship position. The "best 3 from 5" is only used as a way to drop a drivers worst 2 round scores.

Taking your example, if a driver wishes to only compete in two rounds, but knows he can achieve high enough scores to gain an F4 (or even F3/F2) then that is his right.

We use this same method in the National series.

But as Ash has noticed, the overall 2WD championship positions have now been posted, with indicators for the different license cut-off's.
