Default Lrp X12 Help

I have run this motor a couple of times and dont seem to be able to get it to run
properly

It gets very hot and the drag off power from the motor increases the longer it runs.

Is this the heat ?

This happens in both my cars geared as suggested by other peoples set up sheets.

Perhaps the motor pinion sits to close to your spur gear? It sounds like it from what you describe. You need to mesh the gears tight, but not too tight.

Other things to check:
Loosen the pinion but leave it in place. Roll the car on the floor. It should roll silky smooth without any binding in the drive train. Perhaps you have a problem eslwhere in the drive train.

Check the motor bearings. Apparently the X-12 comes with crappy bearings that give in after only a few runs. I never ran mine with the stock bearings as I excanged them for the LRP 50621 ceramic bearings.
