Default TRF511 on the way, some ?s

So I just bought a TRF511 and I was hoping to fit my Mamba Max Pro and JR z9100s servo in it with a Castle External BEC. The Mamba is the pro one cell version with solder posts.

Also I am planning to run a Novak Ballistic 13.5 brushless motor to start. I race 1/8 buggy but our indoor track is geared now for short course and the buggy is too big so this will be my first 4wd 1/10.

Will Mamba Pro ESC fit? Do I have to use a low profile servo?

Also right off the bat I will need a Lipo tray, body, front/rear wing and rims right?

The MMP is a big speedo when talking the 511. You'll most definately need a low profile servo to fit it in, otherwise there a big chance the speedo will hit the spurgear layshaft assembly.
Obviously you'll need a body (Ass. B44 will 90% fit in an emergency) and wing of your own choice. Cant remember if teh 511 comes with rims, but any hex front/pin rear type wheels will fit.

Thanks for the reply! Quick too

For speedo, the Tekin RS is easy to get here but I like having the Mamba since it is in all my other cars. Do you have any suggestions?

Will a 13.5 be a dog or good to start with and gain confidence?

I'm excited and can't wait to see how this does on the track. Seems all new 1/10 4wd are going for the Durango right now.

I run the MMP in my 511. It just fits although obscures the slipper clutch adjustment with a socket spanner, so I grip it with mini pliers and set it that way.

I also run it with a BLS451 servo - pretty big servo there is room, if you're happy to compromise the slipper adjustment.

I've not had any issues running it for this season - it's bullet-proof and fits well under the body including fan.

I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow.

I run the X12 6.5 Octa. I'll dig up ratios etc as well.

Mostly grass tracks up here in Scotland - not had a chance to run much on astro - broke a driveshaft both times I tried and had no spare! (Talywain then CSOR).
