The Cougars have made a combined 15 national A finals this year, and have won two Nationals.

Everyone who currently drives one will say they are the best car in the world. A few previous owners will say they are rubbish. Loads are forsale because we are a hobby generally occupied by people with too much money who always buy the latest car.
There are that many in the national a finals because they are sponsored drivers.

As someone who only drives 4WD, the cougar looks like a good car.

Indeed... as are generally most of the A final drivers, I meant as a proportionate comparison, the Cougars race competitively at the top, in the hands of sponsored drivers against other sponsored drivers, so comparatively speaking should compete well amongst other grades of drivers, is that sense?

After a few issues, the car is superb and I'm speaking as just a normal club racer that sometimes ventures (when time permits) elsewhere for racing.

Schumacher customer support is superb too.

The A final I think speaks for itself (just need a few more Cat SXs). If we had the members that normally race with us instead of going to Stotfold I'm 99% it would have be a 10 car Cougar SV final.

Just need a few more 4WD racers..

May be a good car, however to the club racer parts seem expensive.

I bought a new phil booth sx, and quickly sold when i saw people regularly doing £40 in spares round per round. I couldnt justify racing if i did that much damage.

Sadly this applies to the x-6 as well. I recently snapped a chassis at 10mph.

Im basing comparisons on spares for a b4 and trf201x which are a lot cheaper.

Personally having just built a 201, i reckon more peeps will run these due to running costs and with recent results.

Cougar, looks much higher spec and has the bling factor - just the cost.
