I am getting to the stage where need to organise my tyres. I don't want to write on the wheels as hope to re-use so wondered what people do and what they use to keep a set together that is easy to undo

I write on the edge of the rim with permanent marker and then erase it with motor spray when I swap the tires. Tie them together with string.

I'm not anal enough to care. They're either on the car or in a box

I write the date and a "y" or "g" with a dry-erase whiteboard marker inside the rim. Then I throw 'em in a big box... Before races, I gather up the wheels I might need and put them in a Sainsbury's bag. That's about it.

I have a large plastic box, with a removable lid to keep all my wheels tyres and inserts in.
to keep them in pairs for 2wd or sets for 4wd, i just run a piece of thin garden wire through them(wilko's 30 odd metres for a quid) then cut and twist ends together. when i change wheels on the car i just use the wire that i have removed from the replacement. nice and easy |

I write on the inside rim on mine. when you acetone them the writting is gone. I usually replace them with the same tyre anyway.
