Right, i'm an ex-off road guy returning back to the genre after about ten years soley racing touring cars, so i'm slowly getting up to speed with whats currently hot... & whats not.
The last car I ran off road was an original spec Losi Triple X that I still have. I just wondered If I could use this car as a base for an AC CR2 mid motor conversion? I understand that the BK2 had many subtle changes, but i've been told many of these changes reverted back to the original XXX design with the release of the CR? Many thanks Dan |

I'm sure the guys will correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I'm aware the only XXX model that cant be used as a donor car is the BK2.
All others can be used but the CR is the better conversion to start with... some of the drivers have played around with using some of the original XXX rear end parts to alter handling but a good starter would be the CR. I'm running the CR conversion and its excellent Jon! |

The rear end of the XXX wil fit (with just a tiny bit of filing/dremeling), don't know about the front end though.

The front will fit too. The XXX rear end is in fact better than the CR rear end :-) But indeed dremeling is required.
You will not have the VLA options on the wishbones though. |

You do in the front, cause the original XXX wishbones have in fact a short VLA in the front (i think)
