Default cougar bearing problem

hey

i have a question, do you guys also have problems with the bearing in your cougar sv.
i think they are the worst bearings i have ever seen.
i had a broken bearing from the diff, one of the layshaft, one of the front wheel, 2 of the rear blocks.
i think this is not normal for this great car.
now i wanne know if there are better aftermarkt bearing then the schumacher ones, the ceramic bearings from schumacher are they much better?, because they are a bit expensive..
or have you a better option.

but i love my 2cougars
grtz jeffrey

If you got the Pro, you got Ceramic bearings anyways, and they are no more reliable....

Are you sure, my collapsed bearings certainly look like steel balls.

According to the press releases, the SV Pro was suppose to have Ceramic bearings.. that was one of the differences between the Pro and Race.

odd that, I may be wrong, but when I looked at the differences before release, I am sure it mentioned ceramic bearings....

I had the same issues with the CAT, found the bearings wouldn't last long at all. I bought a Cougar just recently and see the same thing. I replaced the CAT bearings with "Revolutions" from avidrc.com and they work very well and don't cost to much either.

I've had the same problems with the layshaft bearing.I think a lot is to do with the gear box with the bad moulding.
Where trying some bearings at this moment in time so will let you know .

Both of my layshaft bearings are gone. The last one to go did a number on the gears as well.

My outdrive bearings are gritty and the front wheels squeak.
