Now that I actually HAVE a 4WD car (ok, it's not built yet) and I HAVE bought my Brushless system (OK it's still in the box) I now need my Servo. I dont want to break the bank. What do you suggest for under £100 (well under £100 if possible).

KO 2123 is the best value KO. not digital. about £85 new i think, or about 30-35 second hand. Both mine are second hand and are bullet proof. 7.2v, metal gears, loads of torque and speed.
think the new blue birds are worth a look as a cheaper alternative new. But i don't think you will beat a second hand 2123.

You better be racing it at marston.
What brushless did you go for??? As for servo's i think the blue bird servo's are ace metal geared strong and fast its all you could even need i think the exspensive KO's are silly money and thats in my opinion and i like all the exspensive new stuff like my ko tranny etc. A

Cheers, According to the KO site, the PDS-2123FET is a 7.2V servo. Does it have a blue wire or just the three wire connection to the receiver? If it has the blue wire, do I need to put a choke in line with it?
Which bluebird (why could they not have chosen a less girly name) servo would people recommend? there seem to be loads. What does Stu have in the 501X? What about low profile servo's? anything suitable in the price range? Neil ps - no Ash, im not racing at Marston, its not built yet and it might get dirty anyway. My new ESC is in my signature

You have to race it means ill have everyone pileing into my gazebo.
As for the 7.2v servo's you shouldnt need a choke i dont use one in my 2wd never had a problem. As for blue bird servo's this one is a good one i dont think its the same as mine ill have to check but the specs on this are good. http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/produc...ducts_id=21939 A Quote:

Neil, bite the bullet and get a KO2123. Not cheap, but there are deals out there (especially from abroad) and you'll never look back!

Niel, have a look on wasacross.com and on the tech sheets you can see what all the top boys in the euros were using, if you haven't bought one already.

Hi,
I use a sanwa erg wrx in my predatorx10, mega fast, and good torque. A bit pricey in this country, but you can pick them up from foreign soils for around half what the rrp is in this country (around £110 ).

I use this servo for the steering on my 1/8th truggy as it needs the torque, personally I don't like something that steers too quickly in off road. If you got it in a deal try it, if you doon't like you havn't really lost anything and you can still go and buy a K.O or something a little quicker but less torquey.......

I need a new servo, would the Airtronics 94360Z be any good? Its for an x-5.(http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGGV8&P=0)
How affective would the heatsink be? Does the servo really get that hot?
