The drive cups might be too small but you can use the pulley.

i was looking at the same thing, though those drive cups on the gear diff are short, i think u'd have problems with the drive shafts falling out through suspension travel
http://www.rcmart.com/catalog/rc-trf...3-p-26528.html looking at those outdrives though, the cups look really long. is there anyone here with a 416 who could compare the out drives from it to the 501x / db01 please? |

are the pulleys the same on the 501x and 416?
it would have to be for it to start with, or near enough! edit.....,yes they are the same, hmmm.....got me thinking now. But then are the outdrives the same? if not, that its likely that it wont fit, without mods however. |

the diffs aren't quite the same, the slots in the outdrives for example are different widths because the 416 uses plastic driveshaft blades. I think you'll find the outdrives on the spec R diff are soft aluminium so running 511 bones with no blades would chop them up pretty bad. A lot of people have been having problems with the spec R diff failing too due to the plastic construction inside.
I'll try measure how wide the 416 outdrives are tonight compared with the 511 to see if they have enough length you can als mod the 416 pulley to fit an NT1 gear diff in 416, so you can potentially do the same with the 501/511 and that would be much more durable |

TA05 pulleys work
I was thinking the 416 pulleys are the exact same as the 511/501 pulleys so are they different then?

Pulleys are the same, I am not sure whether the bearing spacing is the same though.

I Think the spacing between bulkhead is +/- 18mm on the 501 compare to 21.5mm on the nt1 !?!?
